Biography
Born in
1965 in Valdivia, Chile, Sandra immigrated to Canada with her family in
1974. She studied art and design and worked for much of her career as a
senior draftsperson, designer and project coordinator for a financial
institution. Soon after the birth of her third child, Sandra chose to
become a full time mom and go back to school to explore her passion in
photography.
As a
trained designer and photographic artist, Sandra brings a unique energy
and creative insight to every photo session as she interprets the inner
lives of her clients and the world around her into stunningly articulate
visual images.
Sandra’s
commitment to every project allows her to capture and deliver a true
reflection of her clients. As such, she prefers to meet with clients at
least once prior to the photo shoot so that she may answer questions about
her process, get to know her clients and collaborate with them to share
their story through the created image.

Statement
Photography has always played
an important role in my personal experiences. As our three children grew,
I realized how crucial it was to capture their growth and development on
film.
I recalled how wonderful and special it had been to look at old
family portraits when I was a child. The experience of sharing my history
and the history of other family members is incredibly meaningful and left
me with a lasting impression. It is my joy to be able to provide my
clients with such a rewarding product.
Fine art photography is the
icing on the cake for me; it keeps me excited, as I’m seldom at peace if
I’m not creating. Fine art photography is constantly challenging me to
communicate what I see into a photographic image, the process is like
having a best friend who will not allow me to rest until I have learned
something new, either about my environment, someone else, or myself.
Life and the world around us
is precious, my focus in life is to capture its beauty and essence. |
